I AM GETTING ALL MY NEEDS MET BY JESUS
Philippians 4:19

Every good and perfect gift comes from our Father in heaven and all in good time and in the right season. Whether we are praying for earthly items or gifts of the Spirit, we all have to exercise faith and practice patience. It is in our patience that our faith will grow.

Sometimes our prayers are answered quickly and others may take some time before we see the answer. Either way, God knows what is best for us and when we are ready to receive. His Word says that He will supply all our needs, He will give us the desires of our heart, and it pleases Him to give us good gifts both earthly and Spiritual. There is nothing to difficult for Him to answer...if we believe...it’s according to our faith.

So how do I get that kind of faith???

That faith is built in the time between ending your prayer request, “in Jesus Name, Amen” and the time you actually get “IT”. Your faith is strengthened by what you do, how you act and what you say during the in-between time. You can call it a season of growth. And no matter HOW LONG it takes to get “IT”..... give God the glory and know that your faith has multiplied.

Below is my daughter’s testimony of her faith in God. She really wanted this "American Girl" doll as a gift from us, but her request came at a financially difficult time in our lives. However, I did not discourage her desire (her need) instead I just pointed her in the right direction. I encouraged her to look in God’s Word and find His promises and see what He said about this desire/need of hers. I encouraged her not to look to me and her Daddy to answer her prayers but to look to her Heavenly Father for the answer. I just kept reminding her, “God will provide what you need.” And He did, plus some.....

Antonette 15 years old:

Alice and Ahsoka are my testimony of faith in God.

I already had a huge collection of Barbie dolls, both regular and collector’s edition but, in the year 2000 I discovered a line of dolls called The American Girl doll collection. I really liked these dolls because I saw one that looked just like me; long brown hair with bangs, brown eyes, same color skin and plenty of clothes and accessories to choose from. I knew I had to have that doll, but she was $95 not to mention the tax and shipping and the fact that I also wanted accessories.

I so desperately wanted this doll with all my heart. I talked to my parents about it they told me they could not afford a gift like that. They said, “It is too expensive, pray about it.”

I prayed for six years, I read God’s Word every day. I listened to His promises of meeting all my needs and desires of my heart. I trusted and I believed Him. It was hard when birthdays and Christmases would come and go and still no doll. I read Psalm 13:1-6 thinking WHEN GOD WHEN, HOW MUCH LONGER DO I HAVE TO WAIT??? I really wanted this doll.

On Christmas Eve, in 2006, my parents were so happy to let us open our presents a little early. I received the regular gifts like Princess Barbie dolls, Barbie doll of the Year, action Barbie Dolls, Barbie accessories, and Barbie movies too. (I really liked collecting anything Barbie).

Finally, hidden in the back, behind our little Christmas tree was a large rectangular box just for me. I screamed with excitement and almost cried because I got what I prayed for. It had been six birthdays and five Christmases since my FIRST prayer request for this doll and here she was in my arms.

I never gave up hope. I never stopped believing for my American Girl Doll. I never stopped reading God’s Word and reminding myself that He never lies and He loves blessing me.

After this my faith grew so much! I did not stop there; I immediately began to pray for another American Girl doll so she could have a friend! And two years later, on my birthday, I was blessed with more than enough money to buy myself another doll plus accessories and a bed for both of them. There are so many other prayers God has answered, but to many to list here.

Today, I am praying for the Historical American Girl doll “Felicity Merriman” and her accessories. I am confident God will bring her to me in good time.

My encouragement to you is this; if God will answer a little prayer for “dolls” then He will answer any prayer as long as it is important to you. Never stop believing; He loves you that much.

**God's Word says:
James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Matthew 7:11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Deuteronomy 7:12-14 12 If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the LORD your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your forefathers. 13 He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land—your grain, new wine and oil—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land that he swore to your forefathers to give you. 14 You will be blessed more than any other people; none of your men or women will be childless, nor any of your livestock without young.

Proverbs 13:12Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.

I AM AN HEIR OF GOD AND JOINT-HEIR WITH JESUS
Romans 8:17

Merriam-Webster defines the word heir as one who is entitled to receive or inherit an endowment, property, rank, title, or office from a parent or predecessor.

According to God’s Word, and as we learned in lesson “A” in the “I AM” ALPHABET book, when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we became sons of the Most High God and He became our “Abba Father.”

To say that we are God’s children means we choose to believe the greatest love story ever; Jesus died on the cross for us, defeated the devil and took from him the keys of sin and death. Jesus then rose again in all power, called Resurrection Power, and gave that power to us.

Our inheritance is in His word. It is His will for us. He has given us His grace, both spiritual and physical gifts. He has given us promises that have been fulfilled already and some to be brought to completion soon. He has given us hope and a future. He has blessed us and given us abundant life in Him. He has set us free from sin, sickness and death, and given us life eternal in Christ Jesus. He has given us more than we can sometimes comprehend. We HAVE all that God has to offer, if we believe.

And when we believe........well, precious child of God......all things are possible.

Choose today, to believe it, live it, say it, and never forget it. Not because I say so but because the “I AM” says so.

Proclaim it, “I am an Heir of God and joint heir with Jesus. I am because the I AM says that I AM!”

Now go walk in your inheritance.

**God's Word says:

Romans 8:16-18 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. 17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Ephesians 1:5 He predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—

Galatians 4:6-7 Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father." 7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.

**Act on it suggestions:

Putting the Word into action- James 1:22-24
  • TRUST GOD (say it out loud..."God I TRUST YOU!"
  • Listen to His Word (cut out all earthly things, turn everything else off and only listen to HIS voice)
  • Follow the HOLY SPIRIT (in order to follow HE must be in front of you not behind you, on a shelf, or blocked by worries of this world)
  • Be obedient and DO NOT FEAR (delayed obedience is disobedience; don't miss out on part of your inheritance by second guessing in disobedience)
  • Do what He leads you to do according to HIS WORD (Go get your inheritance)
  • THANK HIM (He has done great things for you)
