I AM QUIET WITH HIS LOVE
ZEPHANIAH 3:17

If you have children you know there are times when they come running to you asking to be held and comforted. It is not hard to understand that they are in need of time in your arms with a hug, a kiss, and just in need of someone to wipe away the tears and tell them that everything is going to be all right.

As parents, we can offer our loving comfort to them with all our heart in hopes that the child will soon be quieted and calmed so life can go on without tears and drama. But, no matter how wonderfully comforting our hugs and kisses, and words may be nothing can begin to compare to the Love of God.

Take my hand and let’s go to the Throne of Grace...

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

I boldly come before Your throne of grace in thanksgiving and prayer for my brothers and sisters reading this today.

Lord, you see their needs, You hear their prayers, you have counted every tear that has fallen in sorrow. You know their dreams and desires, the thoughts and intentions of their hearts. You know when they wake and when they lie down to rest. You know every hair on their head. You know their names. They are your beloved treasure. You love them.

Lord, I ask for You to draw them closer to You so they can hear Your voice clearer than ever before. Whisper Your love into their ears, share Your secrets, hold their head to Your chest so they can hear Your heart. Lavish them with Your love.

Lord, give them wisdom to know what to do with all that they have been given and how to prepare for that which is to come. Remove the clouds and make all things clear. Let Your will be known to them. Help them to accept your good and perfect will for their lives, today.

Father, in the midst of this busy day they are about to embark on, today, Lord quiet them with Your love.

In Jesus name, AMEN.

I AM REDEEMED FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW
GALATIANS 3:13

Merriam-Webster defines:
Redeemed: to free from what distresses or harms: as
a : to free from captivity by payment of ransom
b : to extricate from or help to overcome something detrimental
c : to release from blame or debt : clear
d : to free from the consequences of sin

It is in faith that we accept the gifts and promises God has given us in His Word. It is in faith that we believe the story of Jesus Christ of Nazareth being hung on a cross and becoming a curse for us. It is in faith that we accept His death as redemption from all our sins so that we can receive the promise of the Spirit. It is our faith that pleases God.

To accept this as truth is a choice everyone makes on their own. No one can make the decision on behalf of anyone else. No one can force anyone to believe. It is a choice.

When Jesus put himself up as ransom He had you on his mind. He did this because of His great love for you. He did this to set you free from sin and death, to release you from blame and condemnation. He did this so you could have eternal life with Him.

Do you believe?

Offer up a prayer in faith:

Father, I ask you to forgive me for my sins as I accept and believe that Jesus died on the cross as a ransom for me. I believe that He did this just for me because He loves me. I accept the promise of eternal life with you because I believe Your word.

Help me Father God, to grow in faith and in understanding as I learn more about You and Your promises. I thank You Lord for setting me free from the captivity of sin. I AM REDEEMED.

In Jesus name, Amen.

God’s Word says:

  • Galatians 3:13
13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."
  • Romans 3:21-23
21But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
  • Galatians 3:22
22But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
  • Hebrews 11:6
6And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
  • Romans 8:1-2
1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.
  • John 3:16-18
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
